Download Farsi Pack

Follow the these steps to download and install Farsi Pack on your Pocket PC.

Installing from desktop computer:

1. Click on the appropriate link under the Downloadable files section to begin downloading. 

2. Your browser will ask you if you want to open the file or save it. 

3. Click the Save button to save the Farsi Pack setup program to your hard disk. 

4. Browse to a location that you want to save the installation program and click Ok. 

5. The downloading starts. Click Close after download is complete.

6. After download is completed, exit any running programs.

7. Ensure the Pocket PC handheld device is in the cradle before beginning the installation process.

8. Double-click on the FPSetup.exe file that you downloaded in steps 1 to 5. 

9. Follow the instructions provided by the setup wizard to complete the installation of Farsi Pack for Pocket PC.

10. On your Pocket PC select "Yes" when your are asked if you want to overwrite the files "\Windows\tahoma.ttf" and "\Windows\tahomabd.ttf".

11. Reset your Pocket PC to complete the installation.

Making an auto-installation Compact Flash Card:

You can make a setup card that automatically runs the setup program on the insertion of the Compact Flash card. Here is how to do that: 

1. Click on the appropriate link under the Downloadable files section to begin downloading. 

2. Your browser will ask you if you want to open the file or save it. 

3. Click the Save button to save the Farsi Pack setup program to your hard disk. 

4. Browse to a location that you want to save the installation program and click Ok. 

5. The downloading starts. Click Close after download is complete.

6. After download is completed, unzip the downloaded file (FPSetup.zip) to a directory.

7. Connect the Compact Flash Card to your computer (using a USB cards reader/writer).

8. Make a folder named 2257 in the root of the Compact Flash Card.

9. Copy the unzipped files (Shahab Farsi Pack.cab and Autorun.exe) to the folder.

10. Insert the Compact Flash Card in your Pocket PC.

11. The installation program starts automatically and installs the Farsi Pack on your Pocket PC. Please note that if the software is already installed, the setup program is not started automatically.

12. Select "Yes" when your are asked if you want to overwrite the files "\Windows\tahoma.ttf" and "\Windows\tahomabd.ttf".

13. Reset your Pocket PC to complete the installation.

Downloadable files:

	Download Farsi Pack setup program (FPSetup.exe) for installation from a PC.
	Download Farsi Pack setup files (FPSetup.zip) for making an auto-installation Compact Flash card.

System Requirements

• Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 , or Windows XP with Microsoft ActiveSync 3 or later. 

• Pocket PC 2002 with Intel ARM or XScale processor.

• At least 4 Mbytes of free space on the Pocket PC. 

Uninstalling Farsi Pack:

To completely uninstall Farsi Pack from your pocket PC go to Today screen and select Start->Settings->System->Remove Programs. Then select Shahab Farsi Pack from the list and tap on the Remove button.

Reinstalling Farsi Pack:

You can reinstall Farsi Pack to your Pocket PC:

1. Make sure the Pocket PC handheld device is in the cradle.

2. On your Desktop PC go to Start->Settings->Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs icon. 

3. Select Farsi Pack for Pocket PC in the list and click on the Change button. 

4. In the Welcome Page of setup, select Repair and continue following the instructions.
